I have an older Wheel Horse with a rounded front grill and arched hood. It has no dash panel and the motor sits right inbetween your legs. The motor cannot sit under the hood because the steering shaft runs right through the middle of the area under the hood. PLEASE HELP!!!!! !!! Big G!!!

if your WH has a flat bar, front axle. it's a '58 or '59. if it has a cast iron front axle, it's a '60 or '61. if you can supply more info reguarding engine size and/or type, I can be more helpful.

Some clues, I dont know when they started or stopped but i have two big wheelhorses
numbered as follows: 1054 and 953 the first one or two digits are the HP ie.10 or 9,
the middle 5 means electric start a 4 means pull start, the last digit is the year, ie. 1964 and 1963.

: : Narrowed down to '55-'59 so far. '55-'57 RJ-35 came with a 3.5HP Clinton, 5-speed variable transmission. RJ-58 (1958) and RJ-59 (1959) had a 3-speed transaxle and a 3.5HP Clinton or a 4HP Kohler. Hope this helps!
