dexta vs ford 3000?

I currently own a dexta but am looking at buying a 1970s Ford 3000. Initial info I'm getting is that people consider that tractor to be awful. Why? Seems like its a direct outgrowth of the Dexta which is a sweet tractor.

I'll ask this question at the Ford page but anyone in Dextaland have an opinion?

It depends what you are planning to do with the 3000. If its just light duty, Id use the Dexta. If its larger things, such as a larger bush hog or larger plow, then by all means use the 3000. There's no need to overstress such a good tractor as a Dexta, though it is a Fordson, so there for it can handle it.

I would keep the Dexta just to have it, but depending on the work load, get the 3000 also.

PS, I have a 1959 Fordson Dexta that Im restoring, I have some pictures of it in the gallery.

I was actually thinking of trading the Dexta in mainly to be getting a 15 yr newer tractor. But I've been thinking I can do an awful lot of renovating of the old girl for the price difference- and I like the Dexta.
