I was changing the oil in transmission and rear end this past weekend on the Dexta. The oil level plug is easy to find on the transmission but where is it on the rear end/diff? I knew how much oil to put in from info on this great list but there must be a plug?

It's down by your left foot, right out from the clutch peg and pto lever. Capbuster

is it a hex head bolt? I don't see a square one like the transmission, and the paint is undisturbed on all the bolts around there- unlike the rest of my poor tractor- maybe no one has ever checked the level!
Thanks!

No it's not a hex head. It is a little 4 sided drain plug like the big one on the bottom. Maybe a 1/4 in plug or a 3/8 plug. It will be about middle ways of the clutch pedal. If this doesn't help let me know tomorrow and I will take a picture of mine with my digital camera and send it to you.
