I am told you are quite the Guru when it comes to Dexta's Burrhead. So I am hoping you can advise me on how to set up a double clutch finger adjustment without the aid of the required special service tools used in the manual. I am unable to source the special tool to measure the clearance on the clutch finger adjustment bolts. I am also unable to source the gages that are placed between the clutches prior to making the adjustment on the finger bolts. I am at a stand still on this job & certainly dont want to guesstimate the positioning & damage the clutch assembly on the first use. I would really appreciate your assistance. I am in Queensland Australia & the Dexta is the English version, a 1958 model, according to your good self. Hope you can help. Cheers

I don't know about the guru part Paul but I always try to share what little I do know.

I have never been able to get a home made gage right for the adjustment. The local clutch rebuild shop loans me their gages for my do-it-yourself projects.

I've got another Dexta manual at the farm. I'll try to get out there today and see what it says.

You are right you don't want to get it wrong. I know from experience that if it's set wrong it will shred the pto clutch and the small parts that break away will cause the clutch to not release.

I'm gonna try to get back to you today with whatever the manual says.
