HI can anyone help me with a couple of problems, i bought a fordson dexta for IR £500 its very cheap for its condition except the are somethings wrong, The tractor has a simms governor whitch is running slow the tractor gains and then looses revs can anyone help? also the sterring is heavy is there anyway of looseing it up PLEASE HELP

hallo mate if i can remember correctly it could be the diaphram in the govner it is damaged perhaps a split or hole which causes uneven running especially at low revs

Al I would check the vacuum damper 1st in the manifold as that will get dirty and bind, that causes the sporatic rpm's..

If it's not the damper flap then it has to be a vacuum leak in the diaphram or supply tube from the intake manifold to the injector pump.
