Al it should have 80 weight in the diff/hydraulics. The height problem of the lift would almost have to be the control linkage binding or out of adjustment inside the housing. When you have it running keep moving the control slowly from full lift position back down to about 1/2 way of the control, back and forth slowly, do this several times and see if it has any effect on the amount of the lift. If it does effect it the problem is the linkage. If it does'nt effect it then it's probly the valves sticking partially. The lift can be pulsating from too light weight oil, or it could be from the control or safety valve partially sticking. If your tractor has a flow restrictor on the auxillary hyd outlet be sure its flipped to the fast position and your draft control linkage is'nt binding the lift control handle. One thing that might help without pulling the top off is to drain the hydraulics and then refill with diesel fuel. Crank it up and let the fuel run long enough to warm up good (15-20 minutes) while you work the controls and flush the gunk out of the system. Now drain it again and refill with the correct oil.
