Second occaision of fuel problem.First my son (15 years old )was discing -tractor acted like it was running out of fuel. He bled the pump (top middle of pump under lines) worked ok. I used it bush hogging since then no problems -then today air in the pump again-I was showing 3or4 inches of fuel in tank ,I'm wondering is there a stand pipe or something in tank? Sound familiar to anyone? Thanks

Boyd,
There is a stand up filter normally fitted into the fuel tap. This may be bunged up. Remove the fuel tap and clean. Some fuel taps had a stand pipe up of about 2" then a "reserve" position where you opened the tap fully and a further outlet was opened.
Watch out for "diesel down the sleeve" when you remove the tap.
I have also had once a stuck injector which pressurised the line with each compression. The air in the pump was under high pressure then. Also change your fuel filter as this may be blocked. Take the glass bowl off the fuel pump and see what you have in there too.
Regards
Brian

Naw it does'nt have a stand up line in there. It sounds more like the supply fuel pump is'nt working or it's sucking air at the fuel filter or a fitting.
