I saw one of these odd tractors yesterday for the first time at a local sale. Looked to be in decent shape. Someone had apparently been using it to skid logs and had added a homemade cage. The original steering valve was apparently bad too because the owner had added a cylinder to the front end and a lever valve to steer it. Steering wheel was removed. It has a diesel engine. The tires and wheels may have been chaged at some point in the past too. They were wider than the one picture I have seen of one restored. It brought $3600 or so in the auction but the owner turned it down. I think he wanted around $4,000. Is there any money to be made on it? What do they sell for?

I have a super 6 which I have restored, very good tractors. The main things you have to check are driveshafts and front hubs. If either of these are worn it will be very expensive. A good example of one of these tractors would sell in excess of £30000 in the uk.

Tractor built from Ford parts by County Commercial Cars in Fleet in Hampshire. Now a rare and much sort after tractor.

$4000.00 would be a cheap price here if the tractor was in fair condition.

The steering box would be a standard Fordson Super Major part but the power steering cylinder could be hard to get hold of although they are available. Could be worth the investment.
