I found out on this board that I was not alone in finding the replacement fuel shutoff valves for 600-800 sold by FNH are not of the finest quality, and aren't meant to be repairable. I think I repaired mine. First drill out the aluminum plug in the side of the valve. A # 21 drill is best as you are going to tap the potmetal body later. Have the valve screw in the middle of its range of motion so you don't chew up the working part. You may have to pick out a piece of aluminum before next step. Back out the screw valve. You'll find an o-ring that is brittle and the housing and brass screw will need cleaning up. Go to Napa and buy a Nitrile o-ring that fits. I'd give a number but I lost it. Replace o-ring. Tap the drilled hole with #10-32 tap. Reinstall the screw valve, using liberal amount of grease on o-ring. Should be tight fit. Find a 10-32 machine screw that fits without going too deep into housing. Shim or grind off as necessary. Install. Make sure valve is free to move. Mine appears to hold gas well. The quality of the potmetal casting makes me wonder whether a lot of adjusting of the valve will wear it out, but I'll be able to rebuild again. Total cost $1.77.
