I have a 1962 Ford 1801 with a Select-O-SPEED transmission. The problem is I can't find any
parts for the transmission. Is it possible to put a different transmission in it's place?
Can anybody help
Thank You David

Yes, you could put in a manual trans but it would be spendy because you would also need flywheel, clutch, rear axle parts, etc. in addition to the trans. Is your SOS a total loss? If not, repair it. If you can't find parts I'd dare say you're not looking real hard. Seal and gasket kits, clutch plates, and some other small parts are still available new. Used parts are plentiful in wrecking yards (at least I've never had trouble finding what I wanted).
