I am looking at a Ford 600, 1957 model, with turf tires, 6' finish mower and a bush hog, price 4200.
Does anyone have any comments on this? Is it a decent price, and can I add a loader if the mowers are still hooked up?

John

I paid $3200 for mine about a year ago. It came with 6 implements and all the tractor needed was a left brake.

paid 3,800 3 years ago for a 56 model 600, with no implements. It looks about 5 years old, was always under a shed. There is no tractor anywhere that compares for ease of use, mounting and dismounting, etc. Wouldn't take 4,500 for mine today. RKS

John, I bought a 661 back in 1991 for $2300 (needed some minor repair) and it was the best money I ever spent! Last year I thought about trading it for a new Kabota so I tried one for a while and there was absolutly no comparison. Other than the 4WD option the Ford just felt so much more stable on un even ground and easier to control. The heritage of owning a piece of history is also something to consider. The price is pretty good if it's in tip-top shape.
Good luck!!
