The serial number you report, 9N264829, indicates a 1947 2N Ford tractor, perhaps one of the last several hundred produced. All 9N and 2N Ford tractor serial numbers begin with the designation "9N."

The other number, 2N4015A2, is a casting code.

Trouble is that the engines interchange in the 9N, 2N, and 8N series Ford tractors. A lot can happen in 50+ years. Po Folks is right on- if it has a three-speed trans., it is a 2N. If it has a four-speed trans. it is an 8N.
