I am new to this particular forum. I have 5 Ns. (I guess you can never have enough tractors). Anyway I came home yesterday with a Jubilee. At least I believe it to be. The serial no. that I can read is: A39800. I'm sure the NA is before this but not legible. It also has 2 lines running from the hydraulic pump, which identifies it as a Jubilee. It also has the round medallion on the hood, so I'm calling it a Jubilee.
I have ordered the F019 Manual for this tractor.

When I loaded the tractor there was oil dripping from the transmission. After I got it home I was concerned why and where it was coming from. There appears to be about a 1/4" hole behind the drain plug in the transmission. Can anyone explain what that is for and why does oil drain out? It was like 2-3 tablespoons.

Also can someone advise me of what fluids I need for the transmission, hydraulics and rear end? I want to change all the fluids before I do anything else on the tractor. The leak really concerns me.

Any other advice is appreciated as well.
Thank you very much. Phil

Analyze the oil that leaks out as to engine or transmission oil. If its engine oil, it is the rear crank seal or the rear camshaft cover leaking. If its transmission oil you need to replace the inputshaft seal and adjust the preload on the transmission bearings. Jim

The NAA will have a bellhousing drain ahead of the trans drain plug.. just like an 8n does.. is that waht you are seeing?

You can use UTF for all 3 sumps,.. or gear oil in the trans and the diffy, and then utf or hyd fluid in the hyds.

Your choice.

sounds like your sn is mid 53'
