I"m dead! We have a break in the weather and I can"t get my cut firewood up. I relaced the selenoid, still nothing-thought I heard a click. If there is a blank spot on the starter armature, it would still make a noise? No problems all summer! No indication, first it was running then nothing electrical. Ballest?? Bob

Ohm out the connections. Should have zero ohms. Also check the voltage AT THE STARTER when cranking. There shouldn't be much of a drop.

Then check each relay and switch. If all that is good, the starter or bendix may be bad. But, I'm thinking electrical connection.

Tap it with a hammer..(starter ).

Check to see if the bendix is stuck in the ring gear.

Try a hammer on the starter. It could have a brush hungup. Mine did the same thing.
