After plowing with my 850 for about 45 minutes, it started to squeal somewhere on the left side of the engine. Only when under NO load and at any/all RPM's. It stopped while plowing and also while driving up any slight incline in the field with plow raised. Squealed again while driving on level surface and all the way back to barn. Squeal was loud, but I could not pinpoint the source. Any ideas?

My 800 had a similiar squeal that I could not identify until the needle proof meter fell off. Squeal stopped when proof meter bit the dust. Haven't heard it since.

I've heard the fan just touching the shroud make a squeal. Check at the bottom where it rides against the axle.

Did you rule out the generator and water pump? Some times even the fan belt can make a very loud noise. Then there is the governor that could be heading south on you. Dave.
