Ford 770B loader, I'm trying to replace the seals inside the bucket cylinders. Am I better off having a shop do this? I've got the cylinders disassembled but need to disassemble two components -- the cylinder head and the piston -- in order to put the new seals where they need to go. I am having a helluva time trying to take these suckers apart. I guess I need a 10 ton press. Any advice appreciated.

Doesn't the OEM packing kit have instructions? If this cyl uses stacked cup type seals, a good vice and the proper spanner wrench should do the trick. The style I am thinking of has to have the piston nut tightened through the port in the base of the barrel AFTER the piston/rod are installed in the barrel.
