I pulled the control valve off my 1966 4000. All spool valves dropped right out except the trans feathering valve. Had to force it out. Spool seems ok, just surface scoreing that should clean up with crocus cloth. Question #1 is, what can I do to clean up the bore? Question #2, the control valve return springs are .040 shorter then specs. Should they be replaced? Question #3 is about removing #2& #3 servos. I removed the jam nuts, backed off #2 adj. screw, which was tight, but it turned. Tried to back off # 3 and it won't budge. Broke one screwdriver, tried a piece of flat steel with a wrench, still no go. Gave up before I broke an end off the screw. Any suggestions? Would a little heat help? Thanks, John

John, the only SOS trans I had wound up in the salvage. To clean up the bore of your spool valve, I was thinking you could use a brake cylinder hone. I don't know it was just an Idea. GoodLuck John
