If you are just talking blocks, they are the same, different sleeves and maybe a different carb.

I would sure like to watch someone try to put a set of 172 sleeves in a 134! The bore in a 134 is 3.5 inches. A 172 has a bore of about 3.9 inches. It would take a BIG hammer and a lot of vaseline to get that job done.

Look on the engine for an id plate and post the numbers. The plate should be on the left front of the engine when looking from the rear of the engine. Also get the casting number off the right rear side a some one here should be able to tell you what you have. Joseph
