My Ford 600 has a Zenith carb. It runs fine but it has no filter or sediment bowl. What kind of filter , if any, should I install? Thanks

Get the original line and sediment bowl from N-H. The factory metal fuel line may come with a crimped hose attached to it(not sure if this model has it) that attaches at the fuel valve, this is a special high temperature hose. Make sure the tank is clean and the screen on the fuel valve is clean. Doing any modifications other than original is asking for a problem on these tractors. If you get a lot of sediment in the bowl after installing and your tank looked clean, take the tank off and have it cleaned properly.

If I were you, I'd go to the New Holland Dealer and get original equipment. Your gas line goes between the exhaust and intake manifolds where it gets very HOT and aftermarket or rigged stuff is asking for a fire or explosion!

Just my opinion,
Tommy D.

they originally came with a sediment bowl. I added an in-line fuel filter prior to the bowl which seems to be doing a good job pre-filtering prior to the bowl.

I replaced the old carb on my 600 with a new zenith, and purchased the correct sediment bowl assy from my friendly Napa dealer, it even has a fuel shut off on it! The rubber fuel line was replaced and now has metal and no more prblems, this tractor has a 1964 Red Tiger 172 Industrial engine in it, and it is something to drive!! Hope this helps.. Bill
