According to our charts by Kings Books, your tractor is a late 1946. Serial numbers for 1946 started with 198731 and 1947 satrted with 258504. Your tractor is actually a 2N. Bill from CT

If this is a 2N, why does it have a 9N in front?

Both 9n & 2n serial # start with the prefix 9n. I don't know why, it's just way it is. DaBrow

Made a mistake reading my own chart! It is a 1946 2N. The starting serial number for tractors produced in 1946 is 198731. The starting serial number for tractors produced in 1947 is 258504.

Humming "Green Acres is the place for me..." we purchased a 29 acre tract about 60 miles south of Atlanta. Next came the house, I could talk about that ordeal for another two weeks... But, I want to talk about my tractor! We didn't even own a lawnmower, and all of a sudden we had enough grass to feed all the starving children of the bovine world. Naturally, I talked ...
