According to our charts by Kings Books, your tractor is a late 1946. Serial numbers for 1946 started with 198731 and 1947 satrted with 258504. Your tractor is actually a 2N. Bill from CT

If this is a 2N, why does it have a 9N in front?

Both 9n & 2n serial # start with the prefix 9n. I don't know why, it's just way it is. DaBrow

Made a mistake reading my own chart! It is a 1946 2N. The starting serial number for tractors produced in 1946 is 198731. The starting serial number for tractors produced in 1947 is 258504.
