Friends,I have a 1950 T0-20.It was probably rebuilt about 200 hours ago. The man who did it told me he had a complete set of things to replace but the only thing he changed was a cylinder sleeve.The tractor has done well, but I only use it for light use. Today I checked the antifreeze- good to - 25 F, but a little lower then when I topped her off this summer.Started right up . I did some pretty heavy bush hogging today through some heavy brush on a hill that was too darn steep . After 1 1/2 hrs I quit. The only problem was that it cut off going up a hill backward while she was bhogging through heavy brush and wouldn't start till I rolled her onto flat ground. When I was driving her home the oil pressure was about 4 less then usual, but increased when I throttled her up to 20. When I put her to bed I noticed antifreeze comming out the vent tube to the valve cover. The oil seems thin and smells like gas- no water in oil. I don't know if I blew the head gasket or cracked the block. What did I do to her?
Is it the block or head? I can do tne ups and carbs but have never done heavy engine work. I would probably have to hire this out. The tractor runs fine. Can I just ignore it if I use her for light use? Thanks Frank
