Can anyone tell me where shaft bushings can be purchased for 1948 TE20 Lucas distributor.

The bottom of the shaft has a bushing, but farther up it's a bearing. Likely, if you can get the measurements, a bearing shop can find something that will fit. I need to get to this too so if you find a bearing number that fits please post it.
My points gap will change by probably 0.010" if I grab the shaft and wiggle it back and forth. I wonder how the tractor runs.

Sorry I have taken so long to reply, the bearing was gotten from Motion Industries and fit perfectly also is a sealed bearing part number RLS42RSJ. Another fella on here gave me the number, now after installing realized bottom bushing still had play, so instead of hunting that got to thinking worn valve guides used to be knurled to tighten up inside diameter. Well pulled out shaft removed bottom bushing slipped bushing back on shaft out of distributor, then chucked up a piece of 2x4 in vise laid shaft and bushing on this took a small flat punch and made dimples in outer diameter of bushing each dimple was made into shaft hole were the drive pinion gear is fixed to the bottom of shaft. After punching each dimple I would work bushing back out of hole till it loosened up (the sharp edge of the hole took care of this) well, lord this is a long story but anyway reinstalled bushing nice and tight no play in shaft what so ever.

You know a machinist could probably turn a set out of oil-lite bronze faster than it would be to find a set. Just a suggestion. I usually have a friend turn them for me when working on old distributors since most place don't keep them in stock or there not available. They seem to last longer anyways. Good luck on the search.

I had a hard time finding bushing. Turns out there were 2 (now 1) in Tenn. Very old box-long since discontinued. Found through AgCo.
