TO-35 exhaust/intake manifold

I'd like to replace the manifold gasket (gas
engine) since it's leaking a fair amount but
darned if I can figure out how to access the two,
top-center nuts. The arrangement doesn't allow
enough room for a socket to get through. Has anyone
solved this problem or have any ideas?

I think Don's right about the gas tank. and for sure it was done with a wrench, I recall it was real tight fit and it backed off just a fraction of a turn and flip the wrench and do the same. I do hope your's are not rusted, mine weren't and came off quite nice, but it was very tight.

I hade to use a boxend wrench to take mine off. It worked fine for me.I also had the gas tank off. that help alot.

I used a 3/8 drive 9/16 socket took socket to grinder and ground the OD until it could get into the intake nuts.
