TE 20 front rims

I recently installed an old Dearborn loader on my TE 20. Since doing that, the weight of the loader makes it awful hard to steer in tight places. Are there any car or truck rims that would work on the front with wider tires, to make steering easier? And I don't want to cut out the hubs on the originals and weld on wider rims.

I have 16" truck tires on the front of my TEA 2085 with loader and its probably worse to steer than yours. I have a 45gal drum full of stones on the 3pth. This does help some.

Look at rims from any # of hay wagons or front rims from other tractors. The 6 bolt pattern is common but the correct backspacing may give you a headache. A counter weight on the 3 point is good way to go regardless of your rim choice.

I have a bucket on my tractor that the previus owner had doubled in size. an almost imposible task to turn. what we did was to weld three plates together. 24"x10"x3" thick,to this we welded a draw bar and mounted it to the 3 point hitch. A chain was welded to this and pined to the third point of the hitch just lifting it so as it will not hit the ground,then I chain down the arms.Next best thjing to power steering. My friend just took a draw bar put one end through the bottom of a pail then filled the pail with cemment, quite a lot simper then mine. but do remember the pail must be big enough to hold enough cemment to counter balance the bucket. hope this helps

These tractors came with two different front rims. One was 4.00 x 19 and the other was 6.00 x 16. If you have the skinny 19" you may want to move to the wider 16", probably with a 6 ply tire. I think I heard that Land Rover rims will fit.
Also, keep an eye on your axle pin. They are often quite worn to the point where the axle is tilted. The extra weight of the loader will only aggravate the problem. I overloaded mine and the rear of the pin popped out of the big front mounting bracket, causing me a lot of work.
I ended up taking out the axle pin, which necessitated taking the front bracket off, filling in the worn part with weld, then having it turned on a lathe. Quite a job.
