will the front end loader off an 8n fit on a to35 without any modifications, if not what modifications are needed ?

to Phil, : how about a brand belive is FEL, it's on an old 8n now , sure looks antiquated with all the piping , jus't wanted an opinion or two,good luck Joe, Jerry in tx by the way I've got a TO 30 to mount it on ,thanks

NO! It won't fit. The TO35 is about 2 inches too long. That is, if the loader has to bolt to the rear axle, and has a front pump, which most of the 8N loaders did. It will fit a TO30, however. I have been there, done that. I have a loader which came off an 8N, and I tried to put it on my TO35 and it was no go, but it did fit a TO30 I bought, so that's where it is right now, and it works fine, but no way it would go on the 35. I considered making a bracket for rear axle of 35, but problem is loader holes are close enough they are still over the axle and it just isn't practical in my opinion.

The Wagner WF3 I have for my TO 35 is drilled to fit both wheelbases, and, it has the engine driven pump.

That's versatile. I can see one that is made to fit a TO35 might be fitted to a 8N (shorter). However, one coming off an 8N, unless engineered specifically for both, won't bolt up to a TO35. You must have more than the two bolt holes for your rear axle connection? The rear 8N loader hole might fit in the front 35 axle slot (?) and if that is true, you might get by with only 3 holes, if the loader is extended long enough for a hole to match up to the 35 rear axle hole. I considered modifying mine to do that, but didn't.

It has 4 bolt holes, with the front hole for the TO 35 just ahead of the rear one for the 8N/TO 30 etc. As far as I know, the loader came with the tractor back in 55. And, it's HEAVY, I re-installed that sucker this morning.... Evan

Sounds right. I think the two wheelbases (8N vs. TO35) are actually about 2.5 inches different in length. How do u get yours off and on? I drive mine into shop and lift it off with chain hoist as I unbolt it, unhooking pump first, of course. It comes off pretty easy. Going on isn't as easy but not too bad. Of course I take the bucket off before I take it in the shop. A big tree limb would work too. I figure mine is about 600 lbs. You got any tips?

I've got mine in the shop at school, I used the chain hoist and floor jack(under the pump mount) to install and remove it. The only real tip I have is to stick a couple bolts in the back before you start to bolt up the front, it makes it loads easier to get things lined up at the front.
