To30 carb float sticking

i had my carb off for about a week while i did some other repairs to the engine now it acts like its sticking . when i shut off the engine wait about 15 seconds and gas starts coming out of the carb at a pretty good drip any suggestions

This is common the float needle valve seat may be old or dirty. I allways turn the fuel off when I shut off the engine it is a good Idea to do so you won'y find 10 gals of fuel on the floor of your shop the next day. Mark H.
