Will the lift hold the blade up after you turn engine off or hold the clutch down? If it leaks down fast it could be a gasket or piston rings in the lift cyl. or the valve that screws in the back of the pump that regulates the pressure. Any of these fixes are simple and relative inexpensive. When it is lifting slowly, is it smooth or is it jumpy? If it is jumpy on the way up, you have pump problems(valves or pistons leaking). Pump repairs can get expensive.
