Hello all, I just got home with my new tractor.I was told it was a 54 massey but,the plate the serial # was on is missing.It has 4 foward gears and a S. Where do i look for numbers or letters to determine what year it is?The decal on front says Ferguson and thats all.Thank you for your help.oh yes it missing on two spark plugs,What kind do i get?Farmer(Ga)

Congrats, Georgia!
I spent a logn afternoon trying to figure out why my TE-20 was missing on #2 and #3 -- answer: the distributor turns COUNTER-clockwise and I had #2 and #3 wires switched. That might be your problem. Can't help you with further ID on your tractor. Good luck! Tex

Hi, look below the distributor just above the oil pan, there will be numbers that start with Z129 or something like this.These are cast into the block. That is if it is a TO30. Also is there an engine info plate above the starter attached to the side of the engine? Do you have anymore numbers anywhere on the tractor? Shawn

Thanks to all that rep.to my question.The casting on the block is z120so i guess its a to20.Now i will order some manuals and go to work. i dont think there is much wrong with it just general upkeep. Thanks everyone Farmer(Ga)
