To-20 Rotor--Revisited

A few weeks ago I posted a message regarding the problem I was having with my TO-20 breaking the rotor. After looking into this problem more I found that the distributor shaft has quite a bit of end play in it. If anyone could help me from here as in what will it take to correct this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

How much end play do you have?
Maybe about .125 or a little more is normal.This end play is in the advance and is normal I believe. If you pull the dist. and look at the gear on the end it should have very little end play. If you completely dis-assemble the dist . you will find where the end play comes from. I just installed new bushings on the dist. shaft on mine so check the side ways movement while you heve it apart.
