i found out why my hyd wasnt working right i do have a little leak in the piston but that wasnt it. it was the tube that goes from the bottom at the pump up to the top plate it transfers tho oil to move the piston. now the reason it leakes there is because the guy i bought it from threaded the hole to plug it and then used an external pump to work the loader and the 3pt so when i bought it i had drilled it out and put a tube out of a 9n case (i didnt want to use the whole thing because it wasnt right) so what id did was it didnt seal around the top of the tube and it was running back. anyone have this problem and how did you fix it?

Gerry there is an "O" ring at the top of the tube to seal it, between the top casting and the main body. This seal is critical to obtaining proper pressure. I'm not clear from your description if thats all, but it sounds like the "O"ring was damaged or cut. The repair proceedure is in the service manual.

no there wasnt a oring at all but theres one now. i fixed it today but now i have to get rings for the piston because it has a slight leak nothing major. right now my hyd works alot better than it did before. what it used to do was drop as soon as you push in the clutch now it very slowly drops. see this tractor never had the inrernal pump or tube everything was external im not sure why so what i did was convert it back to the way its supposed to be thats why the tube was never there and i had to put one in and didnt know about the oring.
