Where to mount hydraulic return line on TEA20?

I am contemplating a logsplitter using the tractor's pump and reservoir (found a place that sells the tilting model for $775 Cdn.), but it needs a place to dump the oil back into the transmission. What have people found to be a good place to put a fitting? I thought of maybe the round dipstick plate but it's kind of thin and it's aluminum. Are there fittings that thread in? Also I was thinking of mounting one someplace in the lift cover, which might help lubricate the upper part of the linkage, but again, not too sure where.
And, I would like to get a filter involved - has someone come up with a convenient location for that?
Pictures would be greatly appreciated as well.

I have a wood splitter on my TO 20 and I return the oil via the diff. drain plug.

Thanks for the response. Can you tell me a bit about how well the logsplitter works? Some folks say it will be very slow to cycle. What's the diameter of the piston, and how long is the cycle time?

Jim, I recently bought a TED and the previous owner had solved the hydraulic return problem by drilling the transmission oil filler plug and welding an hydraulic coupling to the top. The return line is then attached to the coupling. He assures me it worked fine.
