Well,I just got back from the Franklin County Antique Machinery Show in Brookville Indiana. I walked through the whole thing and only found two Fergusons, a 30 and a 35. I would think there would be more there. Why is that? Mine will be there next year.

I don't see these at shows because I think they are not really very pretty tractors like some of those bright red Farmalls or orange Allis chalmers. Also, they are only 20-35 hp so not great pullers compared to a big Oliver Row Crop.

This site is a dead hang sometime, because these tractors, one refurbished run and run and there isn't that much to do with them.

So if you want a sort of boring tractor that will run and run and run- you want a Fergy. It's sort of the difference between a Corolla and an MG midget.

Frank

PS. I actually think mine is fun and sort of pretty in a plain way.

Frank

Only one or two Fergy's at Old Farm Days show in Inman Ga. recently. I suspect, due to 3 pt. hitch, pto etc. most of these old gals are still earning their keep on someone's farm

The tractor shows in western new york have don't have too many fergies on show. The Show at East Concord Fire Dept. Had only 1 ferguson my 1951 To-20. I have seen lots of fergies around Western New York but I would have to say they are used for work. I would like to see more fergies at shows but it looks like fergusons are work tractors.

I've been to several shows this year, in VA and in Ontario, and I consistently see very few Fergusons. At two Ontario shows, one a very big show, I saw a total of 4 Fergusons, and none of them were TO tractors. At a large show here in VA, mine was the only Fergy. I'm beginning to think people don't show them off because of the grey paint, not colorful....?

I had the same feeling when I returned from the show in Georgrtown Ohio. There wewe two Fergies there out of approx. 300 tractors. Mabt it's the same two you saw.

I really wanted to get to the show in Brookville but it slipped my mind. It seems that happens alot nowadays.

It also appears that this forum has been very slow for the past 2 months. Maybe it'll pick up in the winter months.

I'd post more, but my TO-30 is currently working *perfectly* so I'm USING it rather than TALKING about it! (desperately looking for wood to knock on...)
