Just got the new water temperature gauge on my Fergy, yep it leaked at the bulb to. Had to put a little epoxy around it. At what temp. should a 1948 TO 20 run at anyway? Also went and found a 1948 Indiana license plate. Cleaned and repainted it and put it on the back of the seat. Kind of adds something to the tractor. At least it does to me.

If you have a thermostat in the water return hose I would say it should run at 160 degrees. If you you have your water leak fixed good for you. Some thermostats for TO 20 have a sleeve that holds the bulb in the housing. If you got a generic thermostat with out the sleeve you can make one from a piece of copper tubing. My TO 20 is missing the serial plate from the dash, however my hyd. pump has # 2651 stamped in a semi circle around the tap in plug on the aluminum . I have checked two other later TO 20s and they do not have a # stamped in the aluminum pump body. I would appreciate it if you would check your pump for a # that matches your serial plate on the dash. Thanks

Thank you for checking. Have been trying to figure out the serial # for over 30 years, thought I was onto something but I guess not.
