I BROKE THE NOSE ON MY STARTER TODAY. I WANT TO KNOW IF IT CAN BE WELDED? IF NOT WHERE DO I GET A NEW/USED ONE? ANY ONLINE PLACES HAVE THEM? HOW ABOUT THE MF DEALER? THE STARTER WORKS FINE JUST THE NOSE IS BROKE.

Todd,
Had that problem last summer. Had nose cone welded but it broke again after a few starts. So,found another nose cone and installed it. Then went thru the timing. Did it by the book. My I & T manuel. Tractor runs better and have had no trouble with starter. Also shimmed the starter out with a paper gasket.
