I replaced my To-20 manifold recently.I soaked the bolts with a penetrating oil (SEA FOAM). The nuts came right off without any problem. You need to scrape the manifold gasket off completely. The oldtimers used to shelac these on. I don't realy know if that is necessary.

When you torque the nuts on you will get them very snug and you'll think they are fine. However it probably will be necessay to run the engine and get the manifold hot and then retorque them. If it seems like you are running lean it is because things aren't tight and you have an air leak around the intake gasket.

Tighten the bolts evenly. The manifold is cast iron and you can crack it.

Have fun. It is easier then it looks. Gob bless HF for using brass nuts.
