TO30 electrical question

The lights on my To30 quitt working .
All the wires are ok.
I think it is the voltage regulator , since the
generator seems to be working ok.
Here is my question.
How can i test with a meter perhaps if my regulator is bad.
Any advise??

The voltage regulator has no effect on the lights other than not recharging the battery, in that case the starter would'nt turn. Look at the hood hinges, the lights ground through the sheet metal and the combination of years,dirt,rust,etc., will break the connection. To bypass the problem, run a ground wire from the light frame directly to the pos. battery post.(pos. ground remember). If the lights burn, you've found the fault.
