Been in the family since new (1950). Used to cultivate potatoes, but in later years has been neglected. Runs like a top, though! Besides a lot of cleaning and painting, my dad and I replaced rear axle seals, brake shoes, bushings for steering arms and converted to 12 volt. Also changed exhaust to a vertical pipe. Question: I read a several earlier posts about the fuel tank getting hot enough to boil the gas. Is this common? Or are we talking about really dirty cooling systems here?

I don't know about common, but my TO30 never has boiled the gas, even when the radiator sprang a leak and overheated the engine. I think that keeping the engine clean, fan belt adjusted, cleaning the radiator cooling fins regularly, and flushing the cooling system each fall prior to installing fresh antifreeze will prevent this and various other problems from ruining your engine.
