The Wagner loader on my TO-35 slowly drifts
downward and the bucket slowly drifts forward and
it seems to be getting worse. It's powered by an
auxillary pump mounted in front of the radiator
grill. I suspect that I need to replace the
control valve since there aren't any visible leaks
in the system. Can anyone advise as to what to
look for in a replacement control valve i.e.
specs, features, brand etc? Thanks in advance.
Roger

Hi Roger,

Another thing to check out is the packings
inside of the Hyd.clinders.

My bucket would drift down as soon i released
control handle.I replaced packings and it works
good now.

Hope this helps

I recently had the same problem with my Wagner. If there are no leaks, I had none, then the control valve needs work. No need to replace it, just take it apart and replace the o-rings inside. Just bring the old ones to an auto parts store to match them up with new ones. Watch very carefully how things come apart as you can put it back together wrong. It is a very simple device but the two shafts with the o-rings can go back in the wrong ways. I made a couple new gaskets when I put the housing back together.

I found my o-rings were flat sided and the dealer only had round rings but they seem to work fine. No more drop (or only a real little).

It's really a very easy job if you watch how things come apart. If you can turn a wrench, and make a couple notes on a piece of paper, you won't have any problems.
