I guess this is what happens when water gets into the casting and freezes. Does anyone know where I can get a new casting?

I don't think there is such a thing as a new steering box for these tractors. You have to get a used one. And the people who have one, know that, so they are not cheap. Try the tractor salvage yards. Your MF dealer might be able to find one for you.

Just needs a little JB Weld on it. I don't think they sell it by the barrel though.
Or you could try Burgh Tractor Parts in Harmony,Pa. That is near Pittsburgh. They will ship parts if it is too far for you to pick them up. Their phone number is 800-369-6213.
They say they have over 1000 tractors for parts.
But I also heard someone bought all their old tractor parts. Don't know if it is true or not. If they did they will probably tell you where they went.
