Should I buy TO-20 or walk?

I'm looking at a '52 TO-20 that has had the block "pinned" for a crack. It has just been fixed, so not much use since. Seems to be OK now and is otherwise good condition. After reading about the tendency of blocks cracking, but nothing on how repairs survive, I need advice on whether to take a chance with this one or walk away. This will be my first tractor, used to mow 10 acres. Thanks in advance for your advice.
