I was washing my tractor and hit the valve stem.Air and fluid started hissing slightly. Is this going to be a big deal?

The tractor is in a field far from anywhere. I don't have any easy way to get the tire off.

Suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Frank

Yes....somewhat, The fluid is calcium chloride mixture. Try to get the tractor back to a road, you will need to remove the wheel and buy a new inner tube. Is there any way to get a 4wd pickup to the tractor? NO- Assuming the fluid drained out already you can move the tractor(level ground) without any load on it, go slowly and perhaps you won't ruin the tire. When the tire is removed the rim must be cleaned to remove all of the calcium chloride or it WILL destroy the rim. Good Luck, this is a dreaded job the CC gets all over everything.

Ray,

Thanks for your note. There is enough air in the tire to drive it to somewhere flat. The man from the local tire shop has agreed to drive over, change the tube and was out the remaining fluid.Luckily I had gotten the mowing done first.

Thanks

Frank
