Please can anybody help with my TEA20? I have now got it going but it conks out after using the petrol in the carb.
I have unscrewed by hand, the bottom jet on the carb, the petrol comes out, I put it back in and the tractor starts again. Any ideas on how to keep it running? The petrol is not running into the carb constantly.

Take the sediment bowl assembly off at the tank it just screws into the tank. Drain tank first I do this at the carb drain. It is most likely clogged with rust or dirt. Clean it up. As a quick fix I have blown air back through the line to see if it ran better. Also take off elbow strainer and line and clean them out. regards

I think that along with the sediment bowl being pluged that the vent hole in the fuel cap might also be pluged! No air in no fuel out! Try running the engine with the fuel cap either loose or off, tractor not moving of course. An easy way to check out the fuel bowl assembly without draining the tank is to remove fuel line at strainer, remove hood stop, 2 bolts front top of tank, remove 4 tank retaining bolts, 2 front, 2 rear, then stand tank on end with fuel strainer up, then remove strainer by turning CCW. Clean assembly as required. Reinstall in reverse order... All should work well. Sometimes there is also not enough fuel head(Pressure) with low fuel level in tank. Take it one step at a time from the tank, to the strainer, the fuel line, and finally the fitting that connects the fuel line to the carb (some units have a sediment screen at this location), I bet that you'll find the problem quickly... If you do take the tank off be careful that you do not tighten the bolts to tight when you reinstall the tank you can crack the tank at the bottom. regards and no smoking around the gas tank
