My water pump started leaking this past weekend. Has anyone ever rebuilt the original or is it easier to replace the whole pump? If so, who has the best pumps?

MF dealers can get you a new/rebuilt one. Try the suppliers listed at the left also. New price is near $75, rebuilt near $50-exch. Rebuild kits may be available if you inquire at the above places, but I hesitate because of the old brittle cast iron parts. If you break something disassembling it you still must buy a new/rebuilt one.

Craig,

It was easier and less painful for me to just go buy a water pump - about $50. I got one at a tractor repair shop and I don't remember the brand. Massey dealers have them but they probably want more than $50 for them.
