TO35 Split

Sounds like a new (rebuilt=cheaper) traction and/or PTO disk will be needed. (I assume you have the two stage clutch, from the description that the 6 bolts don't release it. Probably your release fingers are sticking out too.)

There are three small holes on the back of the casting to insert 5"+ lengths of 1/4" redi-rod, to tighten nuts against the casting to hold the clutch pack together.

I have just finished splitting a FE35 to replace the clutch. Virtually the same as TO35 or MF35

I first drove the tractor 50 miles into the nearest MF dealer over a year ago but they made a mess of the job. The clutch was worse than ever.

I put the job off for a long time becauyse I thought it would be beyond my mechanical skills. I then followed the tips given by Jack and Dean and replaced the clutch assembly last week. The job was not difficult and the tractor is now competely different to operate

At the same time I replaced the sump gaskets on the 3 cylinder Perkins diesel. I did find replacing the cork parts of the gasket difficult.
