TE20 overhaul

Update on repairs--tractor is back in the shop that did the overhaul, I'm giving him the wiring diagram I found thanks to this site. I hope it ends up to be crossed wires, also suspect that dirt got in the fuel lines after the gas tank sat dry. Any other ideas for the symptoms of: hard to start (needed lots of choke), runs rough and lack of power? None of these problems were there before overhaul, she popped right off and ran quiet and smooth from low idle to full throttle, which is why I bought her in the first place. Previous owner said he had a minor overhaul done,(needed new O rings on one cylinder),so everything was good but the brakes. Unfortunately after less than an hour of running time I found antifreeze in the oil. Although I hadn't used the tractor for any work he wouldn't take it back, just dump some stop leak and all will be fine !!! Sorry to be repeating the story but maybe someone can learn from my mistakes. Positive note: Found Wally from Red Granite, Wisconsin, who pinned the block and is a wealth of knowledge, a great guy to know. He is not in favor of using stop leak type products, showed me how it was built up in the corners of my block.
Last question- the generator seems to be set back a tad so the belt doesn't run true, can't see any way to adjustment but service guy put on a wider belt, seems to me that would make things worse ?
