TEA-20 steering arm seals

Another question on the new TEA. The arm seals are leaking (ain't they all)but this one I might fix. Are there seals readily available? Also I have heard that you can drain the housing install zerks and just grease. Does anyone have any input or experiance with this.

The seals that fit my TO30 perfectly are NATIONAL473423, available at any bearing shop for about $8.00 ea. Use 80/90 gear oil, not grease. Fill to just below arms & oil will distribute ok. Take your time installing seals & re-assembly.

I have heard many say they choose Grease over Oil because of the leakage, 1" x 1/4" bushing with a 1/4" zert. Mine needs rebuilt, I put new Stearing shaft bearings in but did not tear into the bottom half. There are two sets of Bushings that need replaced in my Stearing housing, I did call about the price and was told they were..... ..... $35.00 for each bushing..... .scared me, because there are 4. Has anyone rebuilt for less. Massey dealer did not know, but they could possibly come in a set of two for $35.00, book did not say.

Jim - I once had the same problem. I went to a bearing house and gave them the dimensions I needed. They were able to order the size I needed, except they were too long. I just cut them off with a hack saw and they worked fine.

Outer bushings (2): 1-5/16" x 1-7/16" x 1-13/64"
Inner bushings (2): 1-1/8" x 1-7/16" x 1-1/8"

They were brass, I believe, and very reasonably priced.
