My TE20 had the original Lucas distributor but the cap is missing. I'v heard, or dreamed maybe, that there is an American made drop in replacement for the entire distributor. Can anyone either comfirm or deny that?

I have a tea-20 with the lucas electrical system. Bought a new distributor cap, points, and rotor at my local MF dealer a couple of months ago.

I keep getting the TE and TEA mixed up so if this does not apply sorry.
If the engine is a continental Z120 (look on the side of the block the distributor is on) then I would think that the Delco distributor used on the TO-20 with the same engine would drop right in.
It is my understanding that some TE tractors were delivered with a continental engine because the standard engine was not ready in time.

Replacement distributor caps are freely available in the U.K., e-mail me if you have problems obtaining one locally. Reconditioned distributors are also available.
Regards,
Pete.
