I just bought a TO30 and the bowl leaks. I'm not sure where. I found where I can order a new gasket for a buck, but the shipping is $5.00. Can I use some type of gasket sealer?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jerry

$5 bucks!!!! Wow, Try calling the local Carquest or NAPA stores. These two carry old tractor parts such as this. A cork gasket is all that it takes, and one may be cut from sheet material using the the sediment bowl for a pattern if they don't have a ready made one. When you draw a line around the outside of the bowl and cut the outside the line, this will fit inside the metal housing; or the OD and ID of the gasket may be determined by measuring the groove in the housing, it you prefer. Are'nt these old tractors fun to tinker with?
