I have a 51' TO-20, last fall I had the generator rebuilt & completly rewired it and replaced the regulator. Worked fine for 7-8 months, this weekend I notice it wasn't charging found the generator burned up again! Any suggestions?

what do you mean by "burned-up" ? Like smoke? Those Remy generators are pretty robust generally. Perhaps the generator shop did poor work, and the arm. brushes or field windings shorted out? The only thing I could think-of that would severely shorten the life of a generator would be a dead short to ground on the "F" terminal or the "A" terminal due to a bad regulator or a wiring problem.

If you have had it with the generator you can buy a alternator, make a mounting bracket, and convert your TO to 12V. It is either that or get the generator repaired again.
