I know somebody has done this and I want to check out some pics.
Has anybody created or modified a 5 or 6 foot front loader bucket to mount to the 3 pt. lift?
I currently do NOT have a front bucket in working order. And have several dumptrucks full of top soil in my back yard.
I was picturing a "dirt scoop" on STEROIDS!!
I just want to haul from point a to b and drop. NO lifting except off ground.
I was thinking of using the traditional lift arms BUT fabricating an "upper link" from a 2 way hydraulic cylinder so I could at least dump somewhat to the ground.
Exactly like the set-up of dirt scoops, but much wider.
Any ideas????? ?????
Curiosity may have killed the cat, buts also doing a number on my piggy bank.
As always, thanks. Mark

That is what I was thinking but WAY WAY cooler.
I love the shape and size...the height of lift is a major bonus.
That is definitely one of those...."why didn't I think of that" moments.
Thanks for the link. Love it. Mark

Don't know how useful the larger bucket (48") would be. I have a 30" wide dirt scoop and when it is full it will lift the front end of the TEA 20 tractor off the ground.

My TO does the front end dance when I fill my rear scoop with dirt or gravel too. It's probably a 30" scoop also. But, It would be nice to have a wide scoop for "light" stuff, like cleaning out horse stalls, mulch, compost, etc....

do you have a dirt scoop? they are pretty useful once you get the hang of using them. the 30 inch model would be faster than the 24 inch like i use. if you buy a hydraulic top link it would be even more useful. i have been using my dirt scoop lately and really getting to like it. i was thinking if i had another one for my other tractor i could really do some work with another driver.
